Hi and welcome to my Blog....

I am sure it will soon become evident that I am no literary master of words, though I hope to share some of my thoughts and experiences whilst I am out and about as a photographer.

These may be in the form of an account of a commissioned assignment or a stock photographing trip or personal project, or even some straight forward views on workshops I have attended.
Whilst I can claim to have accumulated a good deal of experience as a photographer, I am always on the look out for new stuff to learn and don't ever feel I know it all.

Storrington Village Networking July 14 2011

Storrington Hostess, Rachael Burgess, welcomes new and regular businesses to the group.

Lucy Ignatiadis delivered a few useful shortcuts and tips for Office users in the regular 10 minute slot open to any member to talk about their business in greater depth.

Storrington Group 14th July-brilliant group discussion on 'Should we use local businesses even if they cost more?'  Before breaking off into the 10 minute one to one sessions.

Anecdotes and views were shared with points raised such as not all businesses were residents of Storrington and though most of them provided a reasonable service, there were one or two exceptions who had given many quite disappointing experiences around the table.
It was felt that cost had to be balanced with service. As an example, where Waitrose came out as providing excellent customer centred service and products, and had already made a significant contribution to the community in only a short time. Other business which had been around considerably longer were felt to be wanting of community involvement, or in valuing their customers.

All 15 at the meeting participated! A great evening of networking.

The next Storrington Village Networking meeting will be held on the 28 July, after which the group will take a one months hiatus during August, resuming again in September.
