Hi and welcome to my Blog....

I am sure it will soon become evident that I am no literary master of words, though I hope to share some of my thoughts and experiences whilst I am out and about as a photographer.

These may be in the form of an account of a commissioned assignment or a stock photographing trip or personal project, or even some straight forward views on workshops I have attended.
Whilst I can claim to have accumulated a good deal of experience as a photographer, I am always on the look out for new stuff to learn and don't ever feel I know it all.

Lady at West Wittering

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to receive a commission to portray one of the entrants from my Easter Dog Portrait Contest at the Bax Castle last April.

My subject was a beautiful Collie-Springer X called Lady who had bags of energy and an unquenchable enthusiasm for running around and the water of course.

The location was the East Head at West Wittering, it was that first day of full-on June Sunshine and Lady was in her element.

There was a sea mist lingering in Chichester harbour and around the head which lent the whole scene an ethereal quality I'd not photographed before and as I was told would happen Lady headed for the nearest pool.

It was a the perfect setting for a beautiful subject and to ensure that I did it justice, I created for my client a 30 page hardback Photo-book, which I hope they will appreciate and treasure, in memory of that morning in June on the Wittering sands.
